• Aug. 13, 2012 - DriveHQ Launches Enterprise WebDAV Drive Mapping Solution

  WebDAV drive mapping is the easiest way of accessing cloud-based storage. DriveHQ has offered regular WebDAV service for many years as part of our Cloud IT service. However, any regular WebDAV drive is inherently not robust over the Internet. This cannot be fixed because it uses Windows Explorer as the client software. Our new Enterprise WebDAV Solution is better than any other regular WebDAV solutions based on Apache, IIS or Share Point Server. It is designed for businesses to migrate their in-house file servers and share point servers to our cloud service. Enterprise WebDAV Solution is available to paid members only.

• Aug. 1, 2012 - DriveHQ Launches Camera FTP service for IP security cameras

  DriveHQ has launched a new Camera FTP Service optimized for security cameras. Not only it offers offsite storage for cameras, but also it supports remote play back and remote real-time monitoring. Today, network based security cameras are no longer expensive or complicated. By utilizing low-cost network cameras and Camera FTP service, consumers and businesses can enjoy better service than traditional CCTV security systems at a much lower cost.
  
  Camera FTP service is available at www.CameraFTP.com. The price starts at only $1.5/month/per camera. Current DriveHQ members must sign up a new account on www.cameraftp.com to use the camera FTP service. You must use a different username and email address to sign up.

• Oct. 2, 2011 - DriveHQ Launches New Mobile Applications for iOS and Android

  DriveHQ has supported iOS, Android and other mobile platforms for several years. Users can use DriveHQ.com, m.drivehq.com, FTP or WebDAV to access DriveHQ cloud services. Now we have launched DriveHQ File Manager mobile applications for iOS and Android. The new software greatly improves our user experience on those platforms. It is not only better than FTP and WebDAV software, but also better than other cloud storage applications. DriveHQ File Manager is free. You can download it from Apple's App Store or Google's App Market.

• Drop box - anybody can easily upload files to you without having to sign up or log on.

  DriveHQ had the most powerful sharing feature. You could share different folders to different users with different permissions. With the new Drop Box Folder feature, it is even more powerful: Anybody can upload files to you without having to sign up or log on. Files uploaded to a drop box can only be accessed by you.
  
  DriveHQ's Drop Box Folder feature is very different from other drop box services. Not only it is extremely easy, but also it is designed to meet the most demanding business requirements, e.g.: thousands of users can upload files to your drop box; uploaded files are grouped into sub-folders along with uploader name and other information; automatic file-upload notification; multiple drop boxes for different groups of users, etc.

• DriveHQ FileManager and DriveHQ Online Backup for MAC

  For quite a long time, we have relied on standard protocols and softwares such as web browser, FTP, Email and WebDAV to support MAC users. We also launched a backup program for MAC using FTP. Finally, we have added native support for MAC users with the new release of DriveHQ FileManager and DriveHQ Online Backup for Mac. • Offsite FTP storage for surveillance cameras / security cameras / web cameras

  Many businesses and homes have surveillance cameras / security cameras. Such cameras usually save recorded images / videos to a local tape or disk. If the tape or disk is destroyed by an intruder, then you lose all the evidences. Many people have realized the problem. We had thousands of customers using DriveHQ FTP service for their security cameras' offsite storage. Because a security camera can automatically upload images to DriveHQ FTP server every few seconds, it creates 100 times more load than a real person.   The new version website now supports drag & drop management of remote files and folders. You can use this feature to easily move remote files / folders to a different location. Right click menu is also supported. This greatly improves online file management without installing any client software.

• Flash based batch file upload on DriveHQ.com website

  Now you can select multiple files and upload all of them at once using just a web browser!

• Download multiple files / folders using ZIP download on DriveHQ.com website.

  If you have a paid account, you can select multiple files / folders and download all of them at once using ZIP download.

• Mobile Website for smart phones and portable devices

  Many smart phone users have already used DriveHQ.com website before. Now, we have officially launched a new version mobile-friendly website: https://www.drivehq.com/m/. The website is optimized for smart phones, such as iPhone, Windows Mobile, Google Android or Blackberry, etc.

• File versioning

  For premium users, DriveHQ.com now supports file versioning. You can set the option on how many versions to keep. If the feature is turned on and if anybody overwrites a file, the old version file will be kept in a "hidden" folder, which you can restore if needed.

• Recycle Bin support

  From the Account Options page, you can turn on the "Recycle Bin" feature. If you turn it on and if anybody deletes a file, it will be moved to the "Recycle Bin" folder. Files / folders in the "Recycle Bin" folder is automatically deleted in 7-14 days.

• DriveHQ FileManager 6.0

  DriveHQ FileManager 6.0 has been upgraded to support "File Versioning", "Recycle Bin", "Search in local and remote folders"; it also more tightly integrates with DriveHQ Group Account service.

• DriveHQ Online Backup 6.0 Enterprise Edition

  The new version 6.0 is more reliable; it has improved source file / folder name filter feature; improved the "event log" feature, which now can log all backup events and can automatically send a status notification email. Under the hood, DriveHQ Online Backup has changed to a new inter-process communication model between the Backup GUI program and the Backup service program. In a future version, DriveHQ Online Backup GUI program will be able to run from a different computer to remotely control backup tasks on this computer. This will be very helpful for system administrators.

• DriveHQ EmailManager 3.0

  DriveHQ EmailManager 3.0 is much more reliable than the old versions. It now supports backing up Outlook account settings and email rules in addition to emails and contacts.

• WebDAV drive mapping

  You can map DriveHQ Cloud Storage as a drive letter. You can use DriveHQ WebDAV drive just like any other external drives or network drives. WebDAV is supported in most modern operating systems, such as Windows, Mac and Linux. You can use DriveHQ Cloud storage like a local drive without installing any client software.

• Improved email server hosting service

  The new version email server has been tested to work with all popular email client software; moreover, it has been tested to work with most smart phone and portable devices, incl. iPhone, Windows Mobile, Blackberry and Google Android phones. The system has also improved the spam filtering technologies. Using DriveHQ email service for spamming / scamming / mass emailing / phishing is strictly prohibited. It is monitored 24x7, bad accounts are automatically detected and blocked.
