I have just recently shared some photo folders with friends and family who are not DriveHQ members (yet).  Your approach is excellent!  It is so much less fussy than Flickr, both for the person making the photos sharable and for the person who is being asked to look at them.  It delivers everything one needs and it works very well.  There are one two little glitches in the interface but I am confident you will sort those out soon.

DriveHQ FileManager supports sharing of any file types, including very large video files. However, our main service has shifted more towards business customers. Users can still use DriveHQ FileManager to share a folder of photos, videos or music files, etc.

Users can also use FileManager, or FTP or WebDAV to drag and drop files to DriveHQ WWWHome folder. If you have a True Account or Paid Account, you can publish your website on DriveHQ. Your website is available online at:

http://USERNAME.drivehq.com/

You can also link a photo in the wwwhome folder with the following URL:

http://USERNAME.drivehq.com/FILENAME
